U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to ban Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier from selling its planes in the United States unless the company moves its manufacturing operations to American soil.

"NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES! Their products aren't good enough!" Trump wrote in a social media post on Monday. "If they want our Market, they must build here, and stop treating America like a 'piggybank'."

Trump also accused Canada of blocking American banks and companies from operating in the country, and singled out U.S. rival Gulfstream Aerospace as a specific example.

"Over 50% of their revenue comes from the United States — They live off American Buyers, American Companies, American Airports, and American Service," Trump wrote. "Canada blocks our GREAT American Banks, and Companies, throughout the USA. They even blocked Gulfstream Aerospace from doing business in Canada — Completely unjust and unfair! That Era is OVER!"

The remarks come amid renewed tensions between the United States and Canada. Trump has imposed a series of tariffs on Canadian goods, prompting retaliatory measures from Ottawa.

This is not the first time Trump has targeted Bombardier since returning to office in January 2025. Earlier this year, Bombardier shares plunged after Trump threatened to decertify the company's large-cabin private jets and impose 50 percent import tariffs on new planes, pending Canada's certification of the latest aircraft produced by Gulfstream.
