Israeli forces killed at least five Palestinians in a series of attacks across Gaza on Monday, according to medical sources and reports.

At least two people were killed in a gun attack and an air raid on southern Khan Younis. A third person died in a drone strike on the central al-Musaddar village, medical sources said.

A fourth victim was killed in a strike on a vehicle in the Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood of northern Gaza City. According to reports, the victim was identified as Hani Hamed Kahil. Five others were wounded in the same attack.

A fifth person, Youssef Abu Younis, died of injuries sustained in an earlier Israeli attack on a police post in al-Mawasi on Sunday, bringing the total number of deaths reported on Monday to five.

The Israeli military said it targeted Palestinian fighters in three strikes but provided no further details.

Earlier on Sunday, at least five Palestinian police officers were killed in a separate attack.

In Gaza City's Zeitoun neighbourhood, three Palestinians were wounded on Monday when a minibus belonging to a community kitchen was struck.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,593 Palestinians and wounded 5,748 others since a United States-brokered ceasefire began in October 2025. Overall, Israel's war on Gaza has killed at least 74,609 Palestinians and wounded 175,872 people.

The latest attacks came amid ongoing efforts to secure shelter for displaced Palestinians ahead of winter.

Nickolay Mladenov, the high representative of the Board of Peace established by the United States to oversee a peace plan in Gaza, arrived in Israel on Monday. He was seeking permission to bring in tents and push for steps to accelerate reconstruction, according to reports.

The scale of humanitarian need in Gaza remains vast. The United Nations migration agency said on October 9 that nearly two million people required shelter assistance and that half of Gaza's tents and makeshift shelters needed replacing, leaving families exposed as winter approached.
