Harry Kane Wins Ballon d'Or, Becoming First English Winner in 25 Years

Harry Kane has become the first English player to win the Ballon d'Or since Michael Owen in 2001, after being crowned the world's best player at a ceremony held in London.

The award was presented in the British capital for the first time, marking a historic occasion for English football. Kane becomes the fifth Englishman ever to win the prestigious trophy.

The Bayern Munich striker scored 61 goals in 51 club matches last season, the most any Bayern Munich player has ever scored in a single campaign. He also helped England reach the semi-finals of the World Cup.

Real Madrid and France forward Kylian Mbappe finished second, while Barcelona and Spain attacker Lamine Yamal completed the top three.
